Meet the team
Samuel Willis
CEO & Founder
Samuel is an ambitious entrepreneur, who has worked at multiple startups previously, seeing products at all stages from concept to market. After completing his Master's degree in design engineering at Imperial College London he worked in the Advanced Manufacturing Research Team, developing what would later become PolyMetrix's BioTwin. Now he applies BioTwin to healthcare and construction industries, reducing the financial and time costs associated with fit testing.
As CEO, he is excited to lead PolyMetrix to become a market standard used, not just across the healthcare and construction industry, but the sports, industrial, clothing and e-commerce industries.
Dr Usman Waheed
CTO
Usman is a highly driven academic, seeking to push the boundaries of technology and manufacturing. He completed his Physics degree from the University of Surrey, after which he undertook a Design Engineering PhD at Imperial College London. Usman has expert knowledge on functional materials, in particular, bridging the gap between morphological systems and computing. Usman has also worked on several research initiatives, including 3D-printed face masks, bio-printing for cancer research and soft robotic manipulators to name a few.
As CTO, he will bring this skillset to PolyMetrix, pushing the capabilities of our technology, and constantly challenging for innovation.
